Frequently asked questions

Is the schedule generator really free?

Yes. It is free and requires no sign-up. Nothing is stored on our servers: the grid is computed on the fly and then discarded.

How do I get my schedule as a PDF?

Click “Print / save as PDF” and choose “Save as PDF” in your browser's print dialog. Each day is printed on its own page.

Can I open the schedule in Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. The “Download (Excel / CSV)” button produces a CSV file with one line per spot to fill, which opens directly in Excel, LibreOffice or Google Sheets.

What if my hours do not divide evenly?

The last shift of the day is shortened so that it stops at the closing time, and the tool tells you so. For instance, from 9 am to 12 pm with 50-minute shifts, the last shift runs from 11:30 am to 12 pm.

What if your volunteers signed up by themselves?
