Since financial years starting on 1 January 2020, ANC regulation no. 2018-06 requires voluntary contributions in kind to be recorded when they are essential to understanding the activity and can be reliably recorded and valued. Otherwise, the notes must explain why.
The most common practice is the gross hourly minimum wage (SMIC), €12.31/h since 06/01/2026, optionally increased by employer contributions: €17.85/h at a 45% rate (assuming no contribution relief). For specific skills (bookkeeping, healthcare, legal…), you can use the hourly wage of an equivalent job. What matters is justifying the method, applying it consistently and describing it in the notes.
